K2 8611m is the second highest peak in the world and highest peak in Pakistan. K2 also known as CHOGORI which is Balti language means the king of mountains.K2 has variously be described as "awesome", "Killer" and "Savage Mountain".
This is because of massiveness of its size and unsuccessful attempts made on it by various expedition parties.K2 is rocky mountain upto 6000-M, beyond which it becomes an ocean of snow. K2 8611-M is situated on the Pakistan China border in the mighty Karakorams. The traditional rout to its base camp goes from Skardu Baltistan which is linked with Islamabad by Karakoram Highway as well as by air. From Skardu the rout goes via Shigar-Dassu-Askole upto Concordia over the Baltoro Glacier.

Day 1
Arrival in Islamabad
Arrive early morning in Islamabad. After airport transfer, the day is spent on equipment checks, expedition briefings, and meeting the team. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2
Fly from Islamabad to Skardu
Take a spectacular fixed-wing flight to Skardu, weather permitting. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and enjoy time exploring the town or relaxing in the hotel gardens overlooking the Indus River.
Day 3
Rest & Preparation Day in Skardu
A full rest day to organize equipment, finalize supplies, and prepare for the journey into the Karakoram. This day also serves as acclimatization and contingency for possible flight delays.
Day 4
Drive to Jhola / Paiju Camp
Travel by jeep from Skardu toward Jhola or Paiju Camp, following the Braldu River into the heart of the Karakoram. Overnight at camp.
Day 5
Rest Day at Paiju (3,305 m)
A rest and acclimatization day at Paiju. Climbers can explore the surrounding area, hydrate well, and prepare for glacier travel ahead.
Day 6
Trek to Urdukas (4,130 m)
Begin trekking across glacial terrain toward Urdukas, one of the most scenic camps on the Baltoro Glacier. Stunning views of granite towers surround the campsite.
Day 7
Trek to Goro II (4,250 m)
Continue trekking along the Baltoro Glacier, passing dramatic ice formations. Overnight at Goro II, a high glacial camp.
Day 8
Trek to Concordia (4,600 m)
A highlight of the trek, today’s journey leads to Concordia, often called the “Throne Room of the Mountain Gods,” with panoramic views of K2, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum peaks.
Day 9
Trek to K2 Base Camp (5,650 m)
Arrive at the legendary K2 Base Camp, located beneath the south face of the world’s second-highest mountain. Settle into camp and begin final preparations.
Day 10 - 15
Rest, Training & Acclimatization at Base Camp
These days are spent resting, organizing equipment, and conducting short hikes and technical training. Climbers practice fixed-rope techniques and begin acclimatization. During this period, the support team starts fixing the route and establishing higher camps.
Day 16 - 42
Climbing Period
The main climbing phase includes multiple acclimatization rotations to Camps I, II, and III. High camps are established, routes are fixed, and weather windows are closely monitored. When conditions are favorable, the summit attempt of K2 (8,611 m) is made.
Day 43
Begin Descent to Goro II
After completing the summit phase, organize equipment and begin the descent from Base Camp toward Goro II.
Day 44
Trek from Goro II to Urdukas
Continue descending across the Baltoro Glacier, returning to Urdukas for overnight camp.
Day 45
Trek Back to Paiju
Retrace the route back toward Paiju Camp, gradually returning to lower altitude and greener landscapes.
Day 46
Trek from Urdukas to Paiju.
Day 47
Fly from Skardu to Islamabad
Return to Skardu and take a flight back to Islamabad. Transfer to the hotel for rest and relaxation.
Day 48
Final Departure
Depart Islamabad for your home country, marking the end of the K2 Expedition.
