The 22,937' high Machhapuchhare or "Fish Tail Peak" is considered one of the most beautiful mountains on earth. From Kathmandu, you will fly to Pokhara, once an important crossroads trading center for the Nepalese and Tibetans. You will then drive to the trail head at Phedi, and from there, begin your hike to the The trail then becomes more level and you will have your first spectacular views of the peaks of Machhapuchhare and Annapurna (26,538'). You will visit ancient Gurung villages and walk along the Gorapani Ridge, looking down into the Kali Gandaki, the deepest canyon in the world. After you have completed your unforgettable trek to the Annapurna Sanctuary, you will return to Pokhara for an evening of rest at the lakeside before your flight back to Kathmandu.
