Holy Kailash and Mansarowar Lake, centre of creation and the Universe are as old as the creation. Thousands of sages, ordinary mortals, Philosophers and even the Gods had submerged in the blissful trance at the very sight of this divine grandeur. It is the Meru, Sumeru, Hemdari (Golden Mountain). It is Swyambhu-the self created one. Everything emanates from there and finally returns there. It is the abode of LORD SHIVA and His divine consort PARVATI. Mt. Kailash (22028') is a dusted rock pyramid which is located in the scenically rich area of western Tibet. From its peak one can have the view of Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Nepal. MANASAROVAR LAKE
Situated between Mt. Kailash and Mt. Gurla Mandata is sacred lake Massarovar. This another important pilgrimage sites to Tibetans are known as mapham Tso (Lake), "the unconquerable lake". As per hindu mythology it was formed in the mind of Brahma. It was created to show the omnipotence of Brahma's mind., 'MANAS'. Holy lake Manasorvar, the mother principle, represents Buddhist transcendent consciousness.
