  -:-  Singuchili & Hiunchuli

Singuchuli & Hiunchuli Peak (6,501 m. & 6,441 m.)

Area: Annapurna Sanctuary 17 day trip - Kathmandu/Kathmandu

Hiunchuli:
Hiunchuli, with Annapurna South, forms the massive south facing wall seen when trekking north from Pokhara. All climbing routes on this mountain are difficult because of rockfall, serac dangers and route finding problems. While the base of the mountain is easily accessed, rock slabs, hanging glaciers and the obvious avalanche danger make this a climb for the technically advanced.

Singu Chuli:
Singu Chuli formerly known as Fluted Peak is the highest amongst the "Trekking Peaks". of Nepal. Wilfred Noyce, the first man to summit this shapely mountain with David Cox compared its beauty with India's highest and probably the most beautiful peak Nanda Devi. This peak is situated in the Annapurna Sanctuary adjoined to Tharpu Chuli and across Hiu Chuli trekking peaks. We arrive at the base camp of Singu Chuli in seven days walk from the road head near Pokhara. We place a base camp at around 4350m/ 14668ft and then place two higher camps one at 4,900m/16,000ft at the approach of North East Face and the other at 5,500m/18,000ft. on the North East Face of the mountain to before the summit is gained. Some vertical wall near the summit pose some technical challenge on this climb.

This climb is suggested to only participants with some alpine experience.
